About the St. Elmo Hotel & Bon Ton Restaurant
The St. Elmo Hotel and Bon Ton Restaurant was built by Mrs. Kittie Heit. The Bon Ton name and location dates from 1889 and the hotel was built in 1898, when the restaurant was moved underneath the hotel. Both are in operation to this day.
